Our region’s identity has long been tied to steel. Revitalizing the Mahoning River Corridor gives us a chance to re-brand and re-identify what has always been our Valley’s greatest resource. Without the river, steel could have never been produced here; and without the steel industry’s departure, our mighty river would not be making its current comeback.

Let’s give the river the credit it deserves and allow it to be our centerpiece for the Valley; to introduce a shift in our ideas about economic development and what shared prosperity in the Valley can look like.
